Ms. Alyssa: Contemporary; Acrobatics  Alyssa , our acrobatics and our contemporary specialist, holds a B.S. in exercise physiology from Florida State University. She was a member of FSU’s official dance team, the “Golden Girls”, and served as a captain her senior year. Prior to college she trained heavily in Ft. Myers and Cape Coral’s renowned Robin Dawn Academy of Performing Arts. She gained valuable experience competing across the nation and attending conventions.  Alyssa now pursues her UF doctorate in pharmacy, but is especially passionate about dance and the balance it brings to her life.

Mr. Bo - Musical Theatre; Tap; Jazz  Director/choreographer/instructor/performer, Bo has worked for over 20 years across the entire commercial dance industry.  National tours include CATS, A Chorus Line, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Cruise lines include Disney (performing with Jennifer Hudson), Royal Caribbean and more.  Bo performed lead roles with Walt Disney World shows. A member of Actors Equity Association, he has been a dance captain and performer Off-Broadway (Trip of Love, which premiered in Japan). He has worked directly with Ben Vereen to Joey McKneeley, Dolly Parton to Ann Reinking, Rachelle Rak to Gwen Verdon, to name just a few.  As a teacher, Bo has worked and adjudicated for studios and teams across the country as well as Encore DCS and International Thespian Festival. He says, “Dance is home, and all dancers are my family…we are all part of the same team.”

Ms. Camille: Ballet Faculty  Camille is from Jacksonville, where she trained in the pre-professional student division at Alius Dance School under the direction of Alexa Mieses. There, she performed in multiple productions, including lead roles in River City Dance Project’s full length ballets  Peter Pan  and  Princess and the Frog .  Currently, Camille is vice president of UF’s Assemblé Ballet Company. She is thrilled to join the faculty of Gainesville Dance Academy teaching classical ballet. Beyond dance, Camille is a second-year Environmental Engineering Sciences major at the University of Florida, and hopes to later pursue a career in environmental policy.

Her performance resume includes: being a dancing cast member at Disneyland Resort (California), a 2011 Laurie Stallings work for gloATL (Atlanta), and American College Dance Festival.  While living in Atlanta, she taught for several studios, including Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education. She has also taught contemporary, modern, lyrical, tap, clogging, and jazz.  Hanna has a Master of Professional Studies in HR and Employment Relations from Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated high honors. An experienced administrator, she has been a studio manager, a front desk supervisor, and a stage manager.

She has guest performed alongside some of the biggest names in Celtic music and dance, such as Donny Golden, Cara Butler, Lunasa, The Nashville Celts, and Cherish the Ladies. She previously trained at Jacksonville’s highly selective Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (an audition-based performing arts high school) and in her native St. Augustine. Her warm patience resonates with students young and old.
